Artist's will immerse themselves in the world of drawing utilizing the important artistic practice of keeping a sketchbook! A sketchbook is an artist's tool to fill with ideas, technique practice, journaling concepts and more! Be ready to take them all on during this one-hour experience! This workshop is a recurring opportunity for artists to gather, reflect on CURIO’s current fine art in the gallery and add to their ever-evolving sketchbook with various materials and ideas.
Take advantage of this great opportunity to explore, experience and create artwork in your sketchbook! PLEASE Bring your own sketchbook to class or purchase one here. Each month there will be a different theme or "Sketchbook Prompt" to get your creative brain thinking. It is up to the artist with how they would like to take that prompt along with their own likes, interests, and ability level and take it to the next level. During class artists will be given the change to explore different art mediums, mainly drawing materials to create different effects. This workshop is taught by a PA certified art educator, local artist, and CURIO's own co-owner Jason Shorr.
This workshop is geared towards artist that are serious about drawing and can work independently. Suggested ages are 10–14-year-olds.
If you are unable to attend the class, your ticket for that class/event is nonrefundable. We are happy to have you transfer your ticket to a friend or family member to attend the class in your place. Unfortunately, due to supplies, payment of instructors, and limited seats, we are not able to offer refunds or a transfer into another class.
To run our classes CURIO needs a minimum of 4 sign-ups. If CURIO should have to cancel the class for any reason including limited enrollment registered participants are able to:
1) Move their ticket to another open class or rescheduled class
2) Receive a digital gift card
3) Get a refund. We strive to avoid cancellations but promise a fair process in unforeseen circumstances should CURIO be the one canceling!
