Create a set of 2 mini ghosts to celebrate the Halloween season! This fun, hands-on class gives artists the opportunity to explore hand-built pottery while learning new techniques and creating something they can enjoy all season long.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Build Your Ghosts
Artists will use low-fire clay and hand-building techniques to create a set of three unique mini ghosts.
Explore Clay & Sculpture
Artists will discover how clay can be shaped and transformed using a variety of pottery-making tools and techniques while exploring the fundamentals of sculpture and ceramics.
Make Them Your Own
Each artist will have the opportunity to add their own creative touches and personality to their ghostly creations.
Come Back to Glaze
After the pieces have been fired for the first time, artists will return to CURIO during regular studio hours at a time of their choice to glaze their projects. We'll provide the glaze options and guidance needed to finish their pieces.
PARENTS & GUARDIANS
This is an independent drop-off class, so parents and guardians do not need to stay. Drop off your artist, enjoy some time to yourself, and come back to see what they created!
CLASS DETAILS
Ages: 8-12
Length: 60 minutes
Location: CURIO Art Studio
Medium: Low-fire clay
Project: Set of 2 mini ghosts
Skill Level: Beginner-friendly
Materials: All clay, tools, and class materials are provided
PLEASE NOTE: Artists will not take their pottery home on the day of class. Pieces must dry completely and be fired before they can be glazed. Artists will return to CURIO during regular studio hours at a date and time of their choice to glaze their finished pieces.
CANCELLATION POLICY
All class tickets are nonrefundable. If your artist is unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer their spot to a friend or family member.
Due to limited seats, supplies, and instructor commitments, tickets cannot be transferred to another class.
Classes require a minimum of 4 artists to run. If CURIO must cancel a class, including due to low enrollment or instructor illness, participants may choose to transfer to another available class, receive a CURIO digital gift card, or receive a refund.
We do our best to avoid cancellations and will always communicate with families as soon as possible if a change is necessary.
We can't wait to get creative with you at CURIO!
