KIDS WHEEL WORKSHOP
AGES 8–12 | 3-WEEK CLASS | 6:00–7:00 PM
CREATE. SPIN. DISCOVER.
Kids Wheel Workshop is an exciting opportunity for young artists to get their hands on the pottery wheel and discover what they can create with clay. Over three weeks, artists will learn the foundations of wheel throwing while building confidence, patience, and new creative skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Each week gives artists time to practice, experiment, and become more comfortable with the wheel. With guidance from an experienced instructor, artists will learn how to center and shape clay while discovering that making art is often about trying, adjusting, and trying again.
WHAT TO EXPECT
• Learn the basics of working with clay on the pottery wheel
• Practice centering, shaping, and forming clay
• Explore how clay responds to movement and pressure
• Build confidence, patience, focus, and problem-solving skills
• Create and experiment in a small, supportive class
• Keep and glaze at least one finished piece
PARENTS & GUARDIANS
This is an independent drop-off class, so parents and guardians do not need to stay. Drop off your artist, enjoy some time to yourself, and come back to see what they created!
