Jason Shorr

Jason Shorr is an artist, gallery owner, and art educator native to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and currently living in Zelienople. Jason’s work has been exhibited in such venues as The Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh, PA as well as The Whitaker Center for Science and Art in Harrisburg, PA. Jason has had exhibitions at Boxheart Gallery and  Moxie Dada Gallery in Pittsburgh and JMS Gallery in Philadelphia. Currently the McGowan Institute of Regenerative Medicine houses a large collection of paintings in their research facility in Pittsburgh as part of  a long-term exhibition. His works have been purchased by the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the Eaton Corporation. For the better part of his artistic career Jason has used medical and scientific subject matter within his work to weave mythological and personal narratives into paintings and prints that reflect his interest in scientific illustration and human anatomy.
